City of Hardy

Hardy's Parks and Park Facilities

The crown jewel of Hardy’s Park system is Loberg Park located just north of the Spring River on Loberg Drive. Within easy walking distance from downtown Hardy, the gorgeous 15.5-acre park features a lighted and paved 5/8-mile walking and biking trail, restrooms, basketball court, two pavilions, soccer field and children’s playground. The park is the location for many of Hardy’s events and festivals.

Buford Beach is a public access recreational park with access to the Spring River just off Riverview Road. With easy access to the river for fishing, swimming, kayaking, and a boat ramp, Buford Beach also has a small playground and picnic tables, with restrooms coming soon.

The Hardy RV Park is just east of Loberg Park at the corner of Spring Street and Loberg Drive. It has several spaces with hook-ups for RVs along the Spring River, as well as tent spaces and restrooms/bath house. The boat access ramp gives you easy access to enjoy some fun times on the river, too.

Dr. Thompson Park, located at the corner of Main and Johnson Streets, has restrooms, gazebo, benches to rest, people watch, or just enjoy the landscaping. It is named for Dr. Audrey Thompson, former Hardy Historian.
